Dubbed the poster girl of Beirut, the writer, director and actress was named Middle East Filmmaker of the Year in 2007 for her debut film, Caramel, at Cannes. Now she’s back, starring in her 2012 follow-up, Where Do We Go Now? which concentrates on how the changing face of the region has been brought into sharp focus by the events of the Arab Spring.
