The boss of the billion-dollar Melbourne-based courier and postal service, Australia Post, Fahour was dubbed a ‘Grinch’ in December, after he docked workers’ Christmas bonuses, despite improved profit. The firm employs over 34,000 employees. In July 2009, he was appointed as interim CEO at Bahrain’s Gulf Finance House. Previously he was the CEO of National Australia Bank and is also chairman of the Rip Curl Group.
