Developed as a joint venture between Rixos Hotels, Dubai-based Emaar and Dragone Productions, the project – reportedly worth $1bn, is spread over 639,000 sqm. Located in Belek, Antalya, the park is close to the Mediterranean Sea and offers views of the Taurus Mountains. It includes a theme park, a wildlife park, a water park with 72 waterslides, a splash cinema and water coaster, a luxury five-star hotel, a shopping boulevard, a viewing terrace, a family entertainment centre and river tours. Guests can also pay to interact with dolphins, go snorkeling or walk under water. The park will also offer the world’s first musical boat parade and ‘Kingdom’ – Turkey’s first hotel specially designed for children. Chairman of Rixos Hotels group Fettah Tamince said: “The entertainment, leisure and shopping facilities will gradually open over the course of the year. The grand opening of Land of legends will be next year and it is going to be unlike anything the world has seen. “We have every possible entertainment facility under one roof, making Land of Legends ideal for families looking for an all-encompassing vacation. We also have facilities that ensure privacy including an exclusive park for the ladies making it the first in the world,” he added. Ticket prices range from $100- $200 (adults) and $80- $180 (children) for all-inclusive tickets. Special activities have different rates – for instance a private dolphin encounter costs $1,000 per head while a dolphin swim is priced at $120.
