Home Transport Aviation Dubai’s Emirates introduces home check-in service The service is available for passengers travelling from Dubai by Robert Anderson April 25, 2018 Dubai carrier Emirates has announced the introduction of a home check-in service. Passengers of all classes travelling on Emirates flights from Dubai can use the option, which allows them to complete security checks from the comfort of their own home. The system involves the booking of a check-in agent, who will arrive at the location to weigh and tag bags, check-in customers and issue boarding passes. The bags are then sealed and transported by a new fleet of vans. Customers then make their own way to the airport and head directly to immigration, Emirates said. The service costs Dhs350 ($95) and covers up to seven pieces of luggage. An extra Dhs35 ($9.50) will be charged for each additional item. It can be booked up to 12 hours before departure time. The carrier has been running trials for the service since October. Other options for passengers include a home delivery service and a concierge option for luggage handling at Dubai International.
