Dubai’s Emirates confirms death of passenger on flight to Amsterdam
The flight reported a medical emergency shortly after takeoff

Dubai airline Emirates has confirmed the death of a passenger on its regular Amsterdam service on Monday morning.
Flight EK147 turned around about 20 minutes after take off from Dubai International Airport yesterday following a medical emergency, the A380fanclub Twitter account reported.

Emirates said in a statement confirming the incident that the A380 was met by medical services on its return to Dubai but “sadly, the passenger passed away”.
The flight re-departed at 1:00pm Dubai time, a delay of around five hours.
“Emirates offers our condolences to the family of the deceased, and apologises any inconvenience caused to our passengers for the delay,” the airline said.
