Home UAE Dubai Dubai’s The Beach unveils new cafe concept 40m in the air The Flying Cup offers “360-degree views of some of Dubai’s most photographed locations” by Staff Writer April 11, 2018 Dubai’s The Beach waterfront district has welcomed a new French entertainment concept that offers guests a view of the surrounding scenery from 40m up. The Flying Cup offers “360-degree views of some of Dubai’s most photographed locations – The Beach, JBR, Ain Dubai and Palm Jumeirah” area developer Meraas said in an announcement. Customers are offered a juice or mocktail to enjoy the surrounding scenery with tickets starting from Dhs60 ($16) for children and Dhs80 ($22) for adults. The rotating platform will slowly lift to 40m above the ground for a “multi-sensory” journey that lasts about 20 minutes. There is no need to pre-book tickets and 16 seats are available for each ride. The attraction is open Saturday to Wednesday from 10:00am to midnight and from 10:00am to 1:00am on Thursday and Friday. The launch of the concept follows that of the popular ‘Dinner in the Sky’ in January last year where guests are offered a full meal while seated at a table suspended 50m up by a crane in the nearby Mina Seyahi area.
