Dubai Mall’s Ice Rink launches year-round ‘snowfall’

Dubai Mall’s Ice Rink has launched a new skating experience for its enthusiasts.

‘Dubai Snowfall’ at the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink – managed by Emaar Entertainment, will offer the feel of skating under falling snow.

The experience will provide a “classic and magical New York winter skating experience” all year around, Emaar said.

Three sessions of the ‘snowfall’ will be held every week on Tuesdays (from 6.15pm to 8pm), Thursdays (8.15pm to 10pm) and Saturdays (2.30pm to 4.15pm).

The experience will also feature a live DJ, Emaar said.

Tickets are priced at Dhs 100 (regular public sessions are priced at Dhs 60 for adults and Dhs 25 for children under 100cms).

A popular venue within the mall, the facility has over 2,000 pairs of skates imported from an Italian manufacturer to fit children and adults of all ages and sizes.

Located on the ground floor of the Dubai Mall next to The Souk, Dubai Ice Rink also has a skating academy that offers coaching for basic skating to advanced figure skating.

It has monthly ‘foam parties’ and regular ice disco nights featuring beats from its resident DJ.
