Home UAE Dubai New A380 Simulator Launched In Dubai’s Mirdif City Centre The iPILOT simulator, located in Magic Planet, will offer the experience of flying the world’s largest passenger jet. by Aarti Nagraj July 1, 2014 Dubai-based entertainment centre Magic Planet has announced the launch of a new Airbus A380 simulator in the emirate’s Mirdif City Centre mall. Operated by iPILOT, the simulator will allow customers to learn how to fly the A380, the world’s largest passenger jet. Customers will be accompanied by instructors, who will provide an overview of the experience and explain the standard operating procedures before take-off or landing at more than 24,000 airports worldwide, a statement said. The simulator will offer “a total immersion experience in an enclosed cockpit” and even real pilots can train in it, the statement added. Prices start at Dhs270. Omar El-Banna, Sales and Marketing director at Majid Al Futtaim- Leisure & Entertainment, said: “In addition to the unique experience this innovative technology brings, iPILOT incorporates an educational component that will certainly give us an edge in exceeding customers’ satisfaction.” The simulator will be a ‘point of attraction’ for residents, tourists and also serve as a team-building or corporate activity, the statement said. Magic Planet, which has 17 entertainment outlets across the MENA region, features video and redemption games, rides, pool tables, soft play areas, rides, thrill attractions, gaming rooms and bowling alleys. Its flagship store at Mirdif City Centre features brands such as iFLY Dubai, Little Explorers and Soccer Circus Dubai. With the retail landscape booming in Dubai, the in-mall leisure and entertainment industry has also been growing, with operators looking to offer innovative and unique experiences. Dubai Mall recently announced the introduction of a giant crocodile in its aquarium and also brought in a 155-year old dinosaur skeleton as a permanent exhibit in the mall. Other malls in the emirate that are expanding, such as Mall of the Emirates and Burjuman, are also planning to introduce new entertainment offerings to lure more visitors. 0 Comments
