UAE reports 549 new Covid-19 cases, says none of those recovered have been re-infected

The UAE has reported 549 new Covid-19 cases on April 29, raising the total number of infections recorded across the country to 11,929.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention also confirmed the deaths of nine individuals.

The death toll has now risen to 98.

As many as 9,502 people are currently undergoing treatment while 2,329 have now recovered.

Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the spokesperson for the health ministry, confirmed that no recovered cases in the UAE have contracted the virus again.

“We advise recovered coronavirus patients to eat a healthy, balanced diet, perform light exercise and quit smoking,” Dr. Al Hosani said.
