UAE - WEATHER - RAIN-NCEMA

Dubai woke up to a gentle drizzle on the weekend as the UAE continues to grapple with an unsettled weather pattern, extending cloud cover and occasional showers across the region.

Following a wet weekend, forecasts suggest that more rain could be on the horizon for various parts of the UAE.

While Sunday witnessed mostly dry conditions inland, coastal areas experienced some scattered showers.

Rain showers fell across most of parts of Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi.

Rain forecast for the week

Looking ahead to Monday, Abu Dhabi is expected to see slightly warmer weather with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees C, while Dubai is forecasted to be a few degrees cooler, with lows of 26 degrees C and 27 degrees C respectively.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), rain showers are anticipated across all emirates.

The NCM has forecast a yellow alert for parts of Abu Dhabi come Monday due to the persisting low-pressure system.

However, data from forecasting platform Windy.com indicates that rain clouds dissipate as they approach the coastline.

Tuesday is anticipated to bring continued rainy conditions across the UAE.

The weekly forecast has scattered rainfall across the country for Monday and Tuesday.

Dip in temperatures

Temperatures are projected to cool significantly from the start of the week, with daytime highs dropping into the high 20s, and nighttime temperatures dipping even further.

Wednesday is expected to bring brighter skies, with Abu Dhabi reaching highs of 27 degrees C and Dubai reaching 26 degrees C. Overnight temperatures could drop to 20 degrees C, with Sweihan experiencing cooler conditions at 15 degrees C.

As the UAE navigates through this fluctuating weather pattern, residents are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and exercise caution while commuting or engaging in outdoor activities.
