UAE announces National Day holidays for private, public sectors

The UAE has announced Commemoration and National Day holidays for the private and public sector.

Private sector employees will be allocated holidays from December 1-3, the country’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced.

Federal Government entities will also enjoy a three-day holiday period to mark Commemoration Day and the country’s 51st National Day, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources – UAE, announced on Twitter.

Earlier this week, the UAE Cabinet announced holidays to mark the occasion. Holidays will commence from Thursday, December 1 through to Saturday, December 3. Employees will resume work from Monday, December 5.

Commemoration Day, previously known as Martyr’s Day, is held in remembrance of members of the armed forces killed in combat.
