The findings are based on its latest annual list, which carried out an assessment of over 500 companies across the Middle East. As part of its measurements, the programme recognises employer excellence by evaluating the quality of the people practices and the employee experience around eight topics including effective leadership, people strategy, relationships, employee engagement and CSR. And to be considered in the listing, companies must be identified as outstanding employers at least in one of the countries across the region. As a result, the programme has named these five companies as being the best places to work in the UAE: BSH Home Appliances Middle East Moneygram Novo Nordisk UAE Globalpharma Middle East Specialised Cables “Findings from this year indicated that the top performing organisations in UAE continued to invest in creating a highly-engaged workforce, with an average engagement score of 81 per cent,1 point higher compared to last year average and 2 points higher compared with the region average engagement score. In additional, the insights indicate that employees in the UAE have increased expectations regarding their day-to-day work experience, and while other employees have expressed more positivity around areas such as long-term career aspirations and virtual work arrangements within their organisations,” said Best Places to Work. In terms of its fuller Middle East list, the likes of BSH also came out tops there.
