Home Brand View Saudi’s Detasad unveils new technology at Satellite 2022 conference Dynamic bandwidth optimisation technology is one of the four solutions patented by the infrastructure provider in 2022 by Gulf Business May 16, 2022 Detasad, Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure provider has officially unveiled its ‘dynamic bandwidth optimisation’ technology at the Satellite 2022 show in Washington DC. Along with strategic partners including Intelsat, operator of the integrated satellite and terrestrial network, Detasad is redefining the way satellite companies can serve their end-users with bandwidth-as-a-service managed solutions, a statement said. Dynamic bandwidth optimisation technology is one of the four solutions patented by the infrastructure provider in 2022. This technology will power solutions allowing the Detasad and its partners to bring satellite-enabled, consumption-based internet of things (IoT) and edge computing services to new customers in verticals such as government, finance, health, mining, education, and industry 4.0 organisations. These services will fulfill businesses’ rising need for hyperscale-like performance and ease, enabling complete data and workload flexibility anytime and anywhere on a pure consumption model with no bandwidth or latency constraints. The ideator behind the patent, Felix Thomas Wass, president and CEO of DETASAD stated: “This technology and our strategic partnership with Intelsat, the global satellite innovator and leader, makes bandwidth and satellite technology relevant and competitive opening new revenue streams for the satellite ecosystem and unlocking value across the community of current and potential future satellite users. This creates satellite as a clear alternative to fixed and mobile terrestrial applications.” In a blog post, Jean-Philippe Gillet, SVP Global Sales at Intelsat, said, “It’s remarkable how much innovation there is within and around satellite connectivity, and we are pleased to be an enabler for transformative ideas like Detasad’s bandwidth-as-a-service solution. Edge-compute services are one of the keys to helping customers take advantage of the reach and reliability of the Flex network.” Read: How technology will inevitably play an important role in Saudi Arabia Tags Detasad Satellite Saudi Arabia Technology Washington DC 0 Comments You might also like FIFA confirms Saudi Arabia as 2034 World Cup host Saudi Arabia’s PIF launches new hotel management company How agentic AI will boost the digital economy across the Middle East Talabat plunges over 7.5% in Dubai trading debut after $2bn IPO
