The kingdom’s southern region has faced several such attacks in recent months. Last month, the GCC secretary general for Arab states, Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, condemned the Houthi militias for the “ongoing continuation in committing terrorist acts systemically and deliberately by targeting civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia”, SPA reported. He emphasised that these “repeated, systematic and deliberate attacks” confirm the “intentions of the militias and their supporters and their preference for war options” and their unwillingness in putting an end to the Yemeni crisis.
