Rotana opens ninth hotel in Saudi, near to this famous causeway

Hotel management company, Rotana, has opened its ninth hotel in Saudi Arabia, in the city of Al Khobar which is connected to Bahrain via the 25km King Fahd Causeway.

The new hotel, dubbed Dar Rayhaan by Rotana, is 30 minutes from King Fahd International Airport, and it offers 113 rooms and 20 suites.

“The Kingdom’s emphasis on diversifying its economy and welcoming tourism has generated extensive opportunities for growth and development. The inauguration of Dar Rayhaan by Rotana in Al Khobar marks a significant milestone and holds a crucial role in supporting the Kingdom’s growth strategy,” said Philip Barnes, Rotana CEO, in a statement.

The four star hotel operates under Rotana’s modern-design hospitality brand, ‘Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts’, and it is equipped with modern fittings and furnishings, along with views of the city.

It also features an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym, private parking and meeting rooms.

Rotana’s Saudi expansion

Rotana says the “soft opening” of Dar Rayhaan comes amid the company’s goal of launching eight properties in the Kingdom over the next four years.

Currently, Rotana’s portfolio includes 2,316 keys across nine hotels in Saudi Arabia. Dar Rayhaan is Rotana’s second property to open in the Saudi Arabian coastal city of Al Khobar.

The company, though, further operates 100 properties in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye (MENAT). Across this regional market it says it has 19,576 keys.
