The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), represented by the Fujairah Medical Zone, has announced the inauguration of a new Covid-19 testing centre in Mirbah, Fujairah.

The centre will offer free tests for all UAE citizens and residents, as per the directives of Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, reported official news agency WAM.

The new centre was inaugurated in coordination with the emirate’s Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Team and the Fujairah Police.

The ministry is cooperating with the Fujairah Government to deploy additional coronavirus testing centres around the emirate and equip them with the latest equipment and medical, nursing and administrative staff from the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA).

Last month, authorities in Ras Al Khaimah said that all hospitality staff in the emirate are eligible for free Covid-19 tests.
