One Za’abeel, the new development consisting of a set of towers and a sky concourse, is due to be completed by Q4 2021.

The project is being developed by Ithra Dubai, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Investment Corporation of Dubai.

The two skyscrapers, Tower A and Tower B, stand at 300 meters and 235 meters respectively. Tower A comprises of 263 luxury residences, and Tower B houses 497 rooms, suites and serviced apartments, the statement said.

The Link, a sky concourse perpendicular to both towers at 100 meters above ground level and 225 meters long, will offer 360-degree panoramic views of Dubai, and will host Michelin starred restaurants, observation decks, and an infinity pool, the statement said.

The Link’s sliding operation to move it into position, and link the two towers, officially launched last month, according to the company website.

“The Link is an incredible feat of engineering that showcases Dubai’s ingenuity and commitment to creating ground breaking developments,” said Issam Galadari, chief executive officer and board member of Ithra Dubai, at the sliding of The Link, according to the company website.

“As the world’s largest cantilever, The Link will provide breathtaking 360 degree views of the city, in addition to the project’s prime location for residences, office space and leisure.”

The Link’s second module, assembly B – 24 meters long and weighing 849 metric tonnes – was slid above the Happiness Bridge this month, the statement said.
