Majid Al Futtaim opens 15-screen Vox Cinemas at Wafi City in Dubai

Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim has opened a 15-screen Vox Cinemas multiplex in Dubai’s Wafi City, it announced on Sunday.

Vox Cinemas Wafi City features the UAE’s first Samsung Onyx screen and includes signature concepts such as KIDS – a dedicated auditorium for young movie lovers; MAX – an auditorium with a mega screen and Dolby Atmos surround sound technology; as well as a reimagined VIP experience with luxury seating and in-seat dining.

Majid Al Futtaim has positioned the space as the first hybrid cinema and family entertainment centre (FEC) in the UAE, which is spread across two floors, and consist of the Magic Planet playzone as well, besides the cinemas.

The entertainment destination also features several F&B outlets including new concepts Candy Corner and The Spotlight at Wafi City which serves gourmet cuisine directly to guests’ seats.

Vox Cinemas now has 22 cinemas and 237 screens across the UAE. In March, Majid Al Futtaim opened a Vox Cinemas and Magic Planet at the newly opened City Centre Al Zahia in Sharjah. The launch marked the fifth cinema opening across the region in the wake of Covid-19.

Later this month, Vox Cinemas will open three multiplexes across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain as part of its expansion plans.
