Details about the business service fees either cancelled or reduced by the UAE’s ministry of Economy have now been revealed, official news agency WAM reported.
Earlier this month, the ministry announced it had waived or reduced the fees for over 100 services as part of government-led efforts to support businesses in the country.
In a list obtained by WAM, the ministry confirmed that the move covered 115 transactions and fees.
The ministry had previously revealed the details regarding the eight services for which fees have been reduced by up to 50 per cent.
It has also clarified the services for which the fees have now been cancelled.
Service fees have been cancelled for intellectual property, commercial agencies, trademarks, industrial licenses, auditing accounts, patent and industrial designs, and commercial registration management, the report stated.
In total, 61 transaction fees have been cancelled for the national patent programme, 15 for trademarks, 14 for industrial licence services, nine for commercial registration, nine for auditing accounts, five for commercial agencies, and two services for intellectual property.
The fees that have been cancelled range in amount from Dhs100 to Dhs5,000.
The UAE Cabinet implemented a resolution earlier this year to reduce government fees for the services it provides to customers and businesses.
Earlier this month, the UAE’s ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) announced fee reductions ranging from 50 per cent to 94 per cent for 145 services and 128 transactions supervised by it.
