GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 640 cases

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has confirmed that 640 Covid-19 cases and 468 recoveries were registered on September 13.

The new cases were detected as a result of 84,642 tests carried out by UAE health authorities to screen for the virus.

The total number of infections across the country has risen to 79,489, while the overall recoveries total 69,451.

No fatality was recorded in the preceding 24 hours, the ministry confirmed. Therefore, the death toll stands unchanged at 399.

A day earlier, the Gulf nation posted its highest daily rise in infections – totalling 1,007 – since the outbreak.

Oman
The Ministry of Health has registered 1,409 new coronavirus cases and 18 deaths across the past three days.

The total cases in the country have now reached 89,746, including 83,771 recoveries and 780 deaths, Times of Oman reported.

Bahrain
Out of 9,977 Covid-19 tests carried out on September 12, 747 new cases were detected. Meanwhile, 416 patients also recovered, increasing the total recoveries to 53,192.

Qatar
The Ministry of Public Health confirmed 217 new infections in the last 24 hours.
