GCC Covid-19 update: UAE registers 388 new cases, 3 deaths; Oman reports 739 infections

The death toll in the UAE and Kuwait has risen to 298 and 308 respectively

UAE
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has registered 388 Covid-19 cases, as a result of 40,000 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

The total number of cases has now risen to 43,752.

The ministry has also confirmed three deaths, scaling the death toll to 298.

With 708 additional recoveries, the total number of patients who have recovered from the infection tally 30,241.

 

Oman
The Ministry of Health has registered 739 cases, scaling the total infection count to 26,818.

With three additional deaths, the fatality toll has risen to 119.

Kuwait
The Ministry of Health has reported 541 new infections and five deaths on June 18. The country has 188 serious Covid-19 cases.

Meanwhile, the total infection count stands at 38,074 while the death toll tallies 308.

Bahrain
As of June 17, Bahrain had a total of 5,724 active Covid-19 cases, of which 26 are critical. A total of 52 people have succumbed to the virus.
