Flydubai initiates seasonal flights to Batumi, Georgia

Flights will operate thrice a week from May 12 until September 1

Dubai-based airline flydubai has added Batumi to its seasonal summer schedule, it announced on April 20.

The carrier, which currently operates to Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) in Georgia, will also operate a three times weekly service to Batumi International Airport (BUS), starting from May 12 until September 1.

Flights to Batumi will take off from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Return Business Class fares from DXB to BUS start from Dhs6,485 and Economy Class fares commence at Dhs1,605.

Meanwhile, return Business Class fares from BUS to DXB start at $1,125 and Economy Class fares commence from $385.  Flights can be booked on the carrier’s website or app, via its call centre in Dubai or through its travel shops or partners.

Emirates will codeshare on flights to Batumi, offering travellers connections through Dubai to 155 destinations between both the Emirates and flydubai networks including Australia, China, Indian Ocean, Japan, South Asia and the US.

This summer will see the number of destinations on flydubai’s network reach 79 points in 46 countries.

Jeyhun Efendi, senior vice president, commercial operations and e-commerce at flydubai, added: “We are pleased to relaunch our operations to Batumi which has been a popular summer destination for our passengers in previous years. We remain focused on adding more options for travel this summer with the expectation that international travel restrictions will have eased. Flights are available to book on flydubai.com. In addition, passengers will have the option to choose full packages from holidays by flydubai.”

Batumi offers seaside resorts, mountain vistas and a mild climate to passengers wishing to travel this summer.

flydubai has introduced an extended multi-risk travel insurance that includes Covid-19 cover to offer passengers peace of mind when travelling.  Passengers must be up to date with regulations from the IATA Travel Centre for their journey and follow the guidance issued by the authorities.

Flydubai also added two seasonal summer routes to Bodrum and Trabzon in Turkey for passengers flying out of Dubai, it announced earlier this week.
