The entity has developed into one of the UAE’s largest digital property platforms and forms a central part of Dubizzle Group, whose businesses span real estate, automotive and general classifieds across regional markets. Launched in 2008, Bayut provides property listings, market information and technology tools for buyers, renters, brokers and developers.
Haider Ali Khan joined Bayut as chief executive in 2014 and also leads dubizzle and Dubizzle Group’s MENA operations. One important distinction is necessary when assessing Bayut financially: the publicly disclosed revenue and profitability figures cited around the business relate to Dubizzle Group, not Bayut as a stand-alone company. Ahead of its planned 2025 capital-markets transaction, Dubizzle Group disclosed substantial growth at group level. Adjusted revenue reached approximately $183m in 2024, compared with $104m in 2022. During the first half of 2025, group revenue reached roughly $117m. Bayut remains a core part of the group’s UAE real-estate proposition, where property portals compete for listings, broker relationships and consumer traffic.
Technology has become central to its differentiation. Under Khan’s leadership, Bayut has introduced tools including TruCheck for listing verification, TruEstimate for data-led property valuations and BayutGPT for conversational property search. Bayut describes TruEstimate as an AI-powered valuation tool using market information and Dubai Land Department data, while BayutGPT supports property discovery and market-related queries.
These products reflect the broader evolution of online property portals. A conventional listings website primarily monetises advertising and leads; a property-technology platform can also provide valuations, transaction data, market intelligence and tools to improve the quality of interactions between consumers and agents. Bayut’s parent group has expanded through acquisitions and investments across classifieds and data businesses, strengthening its reach beyond the original property marketplace.
Bayut’s next stage therefore centres on trust, data and technology. As property search becomes increasingly AI-assisted and data-driven, the platform’s ability to verify inventory, provide useful valuation information and maintain strong broker participation will be as important as the absolute number of listings it carries.
