The company has evolved from an Abu Dhabi-focused developer into one of the Middle East’s most diversified real estate groups, with activities spanning residential development, commercial property, retail, logistics, hospitality, education and property management. Established in 2004, the company is chaired by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak and led by group chief executive Talal Al Dhiyebi. Over the past several years, Aldar has expanded geographically and across asset classes through both organic development and acquisitions, including SODIC in Egypt and London Square in the UK.
The company entered 2026 following record full-year results. In 2025, group revenue increased 47 per cent to Dhs33.8bn, while EBITDA rose 46 per cent to Dhs11.2bn. Net profit after tax increased 36 per cent to Dhs8.8bn, and property sales reached a record Dhs40.6bn. Growth continued during the first half of 2026. Revenue increased 8 per cent year on year to Dhs16.8bn, gross profit rose 17 per cent to Dhs6.2bn and EBITDA advanced 19 per cent to Dhs6.3bn. Net profit after tax increased 18 per cent to Dhs4.9bn.
Group development sales reached Dhs12.1bn, while the development revenue backlog stood at Dhs71.6bn at the end of June. Of that figure, Dhs59.9bn related to UAE projects, providing visibility over revenue recognition during the following two to three years.
Aldar’s investment business has become increasingly important to its earnings mix. H1 adjusted EBITDA from Aldar Investment increased 18 per cent to Dhs1.8bn, supported by high occupancy, rental growth and contributions from acquisitions. Its income-producing asset portfolio was valued at approximately Dhs56bn.
The company also continued enlarging its development pipeline. In July 2026, Abu Dhabi unveiled Marsa Al Saadiyat, a Dhs100bn destination in which Aldar is expected to develop around Dhs60bn of projects.
