Governments, businesses, and brands across the Middle East have always shown a strong ability to adapt, but what stands out today is the sense of deliberate preparation for progress. The sentiment across the region remains forward-looking, with an attitude of business as usual. Governments and business communities across the region are prepared and set up to continue driving forward.
The response of the UAE government in particular has been impressive and provides the business community with a strong example to follow. What is happening now feels like a speed bump and, if it is prolonged, it is simply a hill to be traversed, one the government is fully capable of overcoming, all while the region continues to remain a safe, stable, and globally connected environment for business.
Having recently taken on the additional role of CEO for M+C Saatchi Europe alongside my role as CEO of M+C Saatchi Middle East, while continuing to be based in the Middle East region, reinforces something we see every day: the confidence global organisations have in this region’s leadership, connectivity, and long-term outlook.
Leading teams and client partnerships across both geographies also provides a clear view of how collaboration between markets is evolving and strengthening. Businesses are sharing intelligence, talent, and expertise across borders more fluidly than ever before, and that level of interconnection creates a stronger foundation for continuity when uncertainty arises.
=Governments and organisations that invest in strong leadership, connected teams, and integrated ways of working tend to navigate uncertainty more effectively while continuing to build long-term growth.
