Emirates Post Group (EPG) will now offer services in Israel following the signing of the peace deal between the UAE and Israel.

EPG has tied up with its local counterpart, Israel Post, to facilitate access to cities and destinations across the country, official news agency WAM reported.

People in the UAE can now use EPG’s postal and international premium services to send items to Israel.

EPG’s postal services are currently available to over 190 destinations globally. While the pandemic has impacted international travel and operations, Emirates Post is working with its partners on resuming postal services to as many destinations as possible, the report stated.

“Our service will complement the promising business and trade relations between the two countries and will bolster tolerance, communication, and exchange between the two cultures,” said Abdulla Alashram, group CEO of Emirates Post Group Company.

“In addition, the UAE and Israel are both forward-thinking countries and the partnership with Israel Post will also lead to an exchange of ideas, encourage innovation, and help develop the sector.”

The UAE and Israel established diplomatic ties last year, with several collaborations announced between the two nations since then.

Last month Dubai-based freezone DMCC opened its first representative office in Tel Aviv, Israel to boost bilateral business opportunities.

Based in the headquarters of the Israeli Diamond Exchange, the new office will support Israeli businesses from all sectors that are interested in setting up a presence in Dubai and DMCC.
