Companies and brands can now buy naming rights for Emarat fuel service stations in the UAE thanks to a first-of-its-kind project dubbed ‘Project Landmark’.

The announcement was made on Saturday at an official ceremony held at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. According to the Emarat website, it has 127 service stations dotted across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

“The project places Emarat at the forefront of oil and gas companies in the UAE and the wider region,” said Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, director general of Emarat.

“Project Landmark goes beyond being just a commercial venture as it represents a strategic ecosystem that establishes a unique partnership model where customers are prioritised and recognised as key contributors to our success, as well as important economic and investment players that boost the attractiveness of Dubai and the UAE.”, Al Shamsi added.

The move by Emarat to offer up naming rights for its fuel service stations follows in the footsteps of a similar initiative by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) when it comes to its metro stations in the city.

The Dubai Metro Naming Rights initiative was first launched by RTA in 2009 when the train lines were launched. Since then, several major brands have bought naming rights for these stations in what has become a successful public-private partnership within the Emirate.
