Dubai-based master developer Nakheel has unveiled a new brand promise for its next phase of growth.

By focusing on “building happiness and prosperity”, the re-branding reflects Nakheel’s goal to enhance the wellbeing and quality of life for citizens, residents and visitors, positioning Dubai as an aspirational city to visit, live and thrive in.

Naaman Atallah, CEO at Nakheel, described it as a natural evolution and “an exciting transformational phase for Nakheel”.

Nakheel has also confirmed that “the Palm Jebel Ali master plan is being revisited”, saying it will release further details in due course. The Palm Jebel Ali project has been dormant since mid-2008.

In August, the master developer announced a new vision for Dubai Islands (formerly known as Deira Islands). Supporting the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, the islands will be home to over 80 resorts and hotels, including luxury and wellness resorts, boutique, family and eco-conscious hotels.

Atallah said: “Dubai Islands are an integral part of the future vision for the emirate, focusing on enhancing the health, happiness and wellbeing of residents and visitors, as well as providing the highest standards and variety of urban infrastructure and facilities. Dubai Islands will add to the Nakheel portfolio of residential, retail, hospitality and leisure developments, offering another destination within a destination.”
