HH Sheikh Hamdan announces 04 platform for Dubai

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, has launched the 04 platform.

The 04 platform – named after Dubai’s dialling code – enables customers to submit suggestions, comments and complaints to Dubai government officials across 40 entities in three steps via an omnichannel experience, according to the state news agency, WAM.

Sheikh Hamdan said: “Dubai’s model for future governments relies on a strong connection between the leadership and customers, whom it views as strategic partners in designing, implementing, and evaluating the services.”

The Crown Prince added: “We have great confidence in the government work team, and I urge everyone to consistently engage with customers to meet their aspirations and exceed their expectations.”

He emphasised: “Our ultimate goal is to promote the happiness of society and reinforce Dubai’s position as a world leader in government.

“We must have the courage to implement necessary changes in our relentless pursuit of excellence, paving the way for a better tomorrow.”

04 platform aligns with 360 Services

The launch of  04 platform aligns with Dubai’s ‘360 Services’ policy, which places customers at the heart of the process of developing government services, reported WAM.

Under the Services 360 policy approved in March 2022, the Dubai Government is expected to achieve annual financial savings exceeding Dhs1bn during the next five years and the elimination of nine million physical customer visits to service centres annually.

As part of the vision of the policy, the Dubai Digital Authority is working on enabling government entities to fully transition to proactive digital services; thus contributing to maintaining optimum quality in the provision of digital services and developing a secure digital environment for data protection, information systems, and communication networks.

The 04 platform was developed by the Dubai Model Centre of the General Secretariat of The Executive Council and the Dubai Digital Authority, with the participation of more than 40 government entities and others.

In its first phase, the ‘Emirati’ initiative allows citizens to benefit from various digital services including housing and construction grants; social benefits; Al Furjan events; Esaad card, electricity and water services, and more.

Citizens can access these services by logging into the DubaiNow application using their UAE PASS digital identity.

The app has undergone major upgrades over the last few years and has expanded the number of services provided by various entities.

Sheikh Hamdan has directed the Digital Dubai Authority to work with various Dubai Government entities to ensure all the services required by citizens are added to the platform by the end of 2023.
