It warned that the UAE would see some effects caused by the tropical storm. Although Tej had formed into a category 3 cyclone, it has been downgraded to a category 1 on Monday. #Tej downgraded into Cyclone Category 1. During the upcoming 12 hours, it is likely to be downgraded into tropical storm, the Civil Aviation Authority affirms.#TejCyclone — Oman News Agency (@ONA_eng) October 23, 2023 UAE to see ‘indirect effect’ of cyclone The NCM said the indirect effect of the cyclone on the country will see a flow of moisture from the Arabian Sea on the eastern and southern parts of the country, leading to possible rain. The authority issued orange and yellow alerts in parts of Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah on October 22 as the areas were expected to see some rain over the next 24 hours.
