One Central Covid-19 Vaccination Centre in Dubai World Trade Centre

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has set up a new Covid-19 vaccination centre at One Central within the World Trade Centre Freezone.

In a video posted by Dubai Media Office on Sunday, January 17, it shows teams setting up the venue in just 72 hours.

The One Central Covid-19 Vaccination Centre has a capacity to inoculate 4,000 people a day and is aimed at boosting the emirate’s mass vaccination campaign.

The announcement of the new vaccination centre came on the same day that the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said all UAE citizens and residents aged 16 and above are now eligible for vaccination under the National Vaccination Programme against Covid-19. Previously, it was only available for those aged 18 and over.

The vaccine is being provided free of cost to both citizens and residents across the emirate.

The total number of vaccination centres in Dubai has reached 120.

Apart from One Central centre, the DHA said on Sunday that it had also launched Covid-19 vaccination drives at two other health facilities – Al Twar and Mankhool.

Frontline workers meanwhile will be administered at dedicated facilities at Latifa, Dubai and Rashid hospitals.

Other centres in Dubai where the vaccine is available include the Al Lisaili Health Centre by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Dubai Parks and Resorts Field Hospital vaccination centre set up by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA); Hatta Hospital; Uptown Mirdiff Medical Fitness Centre; Mediclinic Hospital Network (13 locations); three mobile units; Primary Healthcare Centres at Al Mizhar Health Centre, Zabeel Health Centre, Al Barsha Health Centre, Nadd Al Hamar Health Centre; Al Safa Health Centre, Al Badaa Health Centre, Nad Al Sheba Health Centre, Al Mankhool Health Centre, Al Twar Health Centre and Al Lisaili Health Centre.

It is also being offered at Union Health Centres; Hor Al Anz Health Centre, Al Qusais Health Centre; screening centres at Al Khawaneej and Port Rashid; Emirates Specialty Hospital (22 locations); Burjeel Network, VPS Network (two locations) and NMC Hospitals Network (nine locations).
