Rain started falling in parts of the UAE on Sunday as the country’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued orange and yellow weather warning alerts.

NCM said that rain would fall predominantly in the northeastern parts of the UAE.

On Sunday morning, parts of Dubai experienced rainfall.

The NCM has advised residents to exercise caution. An orange alert indicates that hazardous weather events are a potential risk. Meanwhile, a yellow alert indicates that residents need to be on the lookout if they go outdoors.

Most areas in the UAE are under a yellow alert on Sunday.

Meanwhile, temperatures in Abu Dhabi are expected to hit lows of 21°C and while Dubai will fall to 22°C. Rough seas and stronger winds around the UAE are also expected.
