UAE developer Aldar Properties has signed an MoU with the Frontline Heroes Office (FHO) on Saturday to offer these workers special offers on entertainment options across Abu Dhabi, as well as on purchase of properties.

The new scheme will apply to a wide range of professionals including medical and non-medical staff working in the health sector such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, cleaning and services personnel, as well as protection and prevention workers, security and emergency workers, and sanitisation staff too, reported news agency WAM.

Aldar will offer these professionals Dhs4,000 worth of Yas Mall vouchers, as well as points on Aldar’s new Darna loyalty programme, with the points being redeemable across its portfolio.

Eligible individuals will also be offered a 30 per cent discount across Aldar’s hotels, golf resorts and food and beverage outlets.

In addition, Aldar has committed to offering them purchase and rent offers, including a 6 per cent refund on purchase price once the final payment is settled, and a four-year waiver of service charges too.

As part of the three-year MoU, Aldar will also promote the FHO’s awareness initiatives across its portfolio, including Yas Mall, World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi and Al Jimi Mall, several hotels and schools across the emirate.

“Aldar is proud to be amongst the first companies to support the Frontline Heroes Office in responding to the challenges of frontline professionals, and ensuring they are nationally recognised and appreciated. As a responsible business, we are committed to shouldering the responsibility and supporting this nationwide programme in every way possible, to ensure that our talented and dedicated frontline heroes receive all the support they need and the recognition that encourages them to continue this journey,” said Talal Al Dhiyebi, CEO of Aldar.

In July, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a federal decree to establish the FHO, chaired by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, which will acknowledge the work of frontline staff, while carrying out their duties in the country.

Last month, the UAE’s Ministry of Education teamed up with the FHO to offer children of healthcare workers across the country full educational scholarships to study at public schools.

The scholarship which will last until their graduation from high school, covers the cost of tuition, laptops and transportation.
