The Dubai Police has announced the addition of new vehicles to its supercars patrol fleet.

The new Nissan GTR and Nissan Patrol cars join a growing list of supercars (and a luxury bike) including a McLaren MP4-12C, a Bugatti Veyron and the extremely rare Aston Martin One-77.

The new vehicles will be stationed at places such as Burj Khalifa and Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, a message on Twitter said.

Dubai Police commander-in-chief Major General Khamis Mattar Al Muzainah said: “The Dubai Police force has always sought, through the introduction its fleet of supercars, to enhance the security of the emirate.”

The new cars were delivered by Nissan’s local distributor Arabian Automobiles Company.

The Dubai Police has been ramping up its supercars fleet since the start of 2013 starting with a Lamborghini Aventador and a Ferrari FF.
