Unstable weather will continue across the UAE on Sunday, the UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has said.

In its daily bulletin, NCMS confirmed that heavy rainfall would persist over scattered areas, with thunder also anticipated.

“Cloud amounts are increasing over most areas, associated with different intensity rainfall over scattered areas,” it said.

The country will also face moderate to fresh winds which will also become strong over the sea.

“Sea will be rough to very rough, especially with clouds activity in Arabian Gulf and in Oman sea,” the NCMS said.

Temperatures will range from 12 degrees celcius to 33 degree celsius across the country.

Similar weather conditions are anticipated to persist on Monday, with rainfall over scattered areas, accompanied by thunder.

Strong winds may also cause increased sand and dust in the air leading to poor visibility, especially over exposed areas, the NCMS said.

However, the unstable weather conditions are expected to improve by Tuesday, with only partly cloudy weather.

The relative humidity will increase over some coastal and internal areas during night and early morning and may cause fog/mist formation, the NCMS said.

Bad weather in the UAE caused delays and diversions at Dubai International Airport during the weekend.

Dubai Airports said 15 inbound flights were diverted and a number of outbound flights were delayed on Saturday.
