Dubai-based Transguard, a unit of Emirates Group, announced that it has won new contracts worth more than Dhs140 million.

The new contracts follow the company’s revamp of its corporate structure that was aimed at maximising its business in the region, a statement said.

“Over the past four months, the group has secured more than 20 new contracts worth over Dhs140 million in annual revenue and deploying more than 3,000 new staff members,” said Tim Popplewell, COO.

Transguard operates in a diverse number of fields from businesses in facilities management, security, training, consultancy, airport services and event management.

The company said that it has won contracts from construction contractor TAV, Australian mechanical services company James L Williams, international mechanical electrical plumbing contractor Anel and two turnkey fit out solutions companies, Dutco Styles & Wood and Al Tayer Stocks.

Transguard has also inked a deal to supply integrated facilities management with local property developer, Select Group at their residential tower, West Avenue, in Dubai Marina.

“These new contracts validate our confidence in the UAE and regional economies. We envisage significant growth prospects, especially in Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia,” said Popplewell.

Established in 2001, Transguard Group recorded a turnover of Dhs770 million during the last financial year and employs up to 24,000 staff.
