UAE weather update: Rain hits scattered parts, overcast conditions forecast for the rest of the week

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 20°C at Ras Al Khaimah Airport at 6am today

Rainfall of varied intensities hit select parts of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain city on April 29, with overcast conditions expected across some areas in the country.

Light to moderate winds causing potential dust storms are also anticipated.

“Partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times over scattered areas, with a chance of some rainfall. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand. Sea will be moderate, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in Oman sea,” National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said in a statement.

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 20°C at Ras Al Khaimah Airport at 6am today.

Temperatures will vary between 23-40°C in the coastal areas, between 22-43°C in the internal areas and 15-24°C in the mountains.

The NCM has advised UAE residents to comply with the directives of the authorities in light of anticipated weather conditions.

Overcast conditions are expected to continue for the rest of the week, with the possibility of some rain.
