The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE has warned of potential dust storms reducing visibility to less than 1.5 km over most areas across the country.

“Dusty and partly cloudy in general. With a chance of some convective clouds East and Southward by afternoon. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust during daytime. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea,” NCM said in a statement.

The NCM has advised residents to stay cautious in the event of outdoor activities.

The UAE recorded its lowest temperature of 22.6°C in Jabal Jais at 7am today.

Temperatures vary between 27-43°C in the coastal areas, 26-46°C in the internal areas, and between 24-32°C in the mountains.

Light to moderate winds triggering potential dust storms are anticipated to linger on for the rest of the week.
