UAE weather alert: light to moderate rain across parts of the country

The UAE experienced showers and strong winds across most of the emirates on Sunday night, cascading over to Monday morning with drizzle and overcast conditions.

Moderate rain pelted over Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah, while light showers grazed Al Bateen and Dubai International Airport.

UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology had issued an alert on Sunday, January 5, forecasting extreme weather conditions and, advising residents to stay safe and comply with instructions.
