UAE reports 94 new Covid-19 infections, one death

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said on Sunday that it had detected 94 new Covid-19 cases over the preceding 24 hours, taking the total number of recorded infections in the country to 739,284.

According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, and are reported to be in a stable condition.

The new cases were found following 230,026 tests conducted to screen for the virus.

MoHAP also announced one death due to Covid-19 complications over the preceding 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,130.

The ministry added that an additional 123 individuals had also fully recovered from Covid-19 over the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 733,250.

On Saturday, MoHAP said that 12,376 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered over the previous 24-hour period.

The total number of doses therefore administered until that time stood at 20,887,014, with a vaccine distribution rate of 211.18 doses per 100 people.
