UAE raises petrol prices for July 2023

The UAE’s fuel price follow-up committee has increased petrol prices for the month of July 2023.

Super 98 petrol will cost Dhs3 a litre from Dhs2.95 a litre in June, while Special 95 will cost Dhs2.89 a litre compared to Dh2.84 a litre the previous month, according to a tweet from fuel retailing company Emarat.

Meanwhile, diesel will cost Dhs2.76 per litre in July from Dhs2.68 in June while the price of E-plus 91 rose to Dhs2.81 compared to Dh2.76 the previous month.

The cost of petrol has slightly increased following a small reduction last month. The UAE liberalised petrol prices in 2015 to allow rates to move in line with the market. Fuel prices in the country tend to fluctuate in line with global trends.

The UAE’s fuel price committee meet every month to decide whether prices will increase or decrease.
