The UAE’s Ministry of Education has strongly reprimanded students who were seen on video damaging school property in the country.

The viral video reportedly shows the students breaking chairs, tables and other equipment in a classroom. It is not clear where in the UAE the incident took place.

Taking to Twitter, the ministry said the students’ action was “not acceptable”. It warned that corrective measures would be taken against the students concerned, and that their guardians will be made to compensate for the damages.

“The Ministry of Education describes this behaviour, which appeared in one of the video clips, as undisciplined and as an assault on public property,” it stated.

“We advocate for responsibility, discipline, commitment and preservation of the facilities of the school campus, which is the property of all.”
