The consulate urged citizens to call its emergency number 7135020206 in case of emergencies or for assistance. The National Hurricane Center has issued an advisory highlighting the danger of a life-threatening storm, Storm Cristobal, with tropical strong force winds, expected to begin overnight along the north Gulf coast, from central Louisiana to western Florida Panhandle, including metropolitan New Orleans. Heavy rainfall will continue from central to north Florida overnight, spreading from east to west, across the eastern and central Gulf coast from the Florida Panhandle to Louisiana on Sunday, it added.
