The UAE-based Emirates Draw has signed a partnership with YottaChain International Holding to allow cryptocurrency to now be permitted to purchase entry tickets for the weekly draw.

In the first phase, it will allow payments in Tether (USDT) through a decentralised application (dApp). YottaChain, a blockchain storage public chain, will also open access for holders of additional tokens in the future to participate in the Emirates Draw as well.

Crypto users who want to participate in Emirates Draw need to access the dAPP section in their Crypto Wallets and enter the drawdao.com link. They need to then select the BSC (Binance Smart Chain) option to proceed through to the Emirates Draw website.

“Our partnership is a perfect example of two leading technology companies coming together to offer real-life products and services to worldwide crypto communities. In the fast-moving technology and entertainment sector the time was ripe to broaden our network to the cryptocurrency world, which strengthens our combined commitment towards expanding access to Emirates Draw and our ongoing conservation programmes,” said Mohammad Behroozian Alawadhi, managing partner at Emirates Draw.

Hans Yuewen, chairman of YottaChain International Holding, added: “We take great pride in the cooperation between YottaChain and Emirates Draw which will help expand the application ecology of YottaChain and realise the diversification of its applications.”

To date, over Dhs20m has been disbursed in prize money to over 14,000 winners of the Emirates Draw since its inception in September 2021.

Entrants can participate in the weekly draw by purchasing a Dhs50 pencil that will support in planting coral polyps. After registering online, they can select their preferred seven-digit number or have the system choose the numbers randomly.

With each purchase, participants are entered into two separate draws that are held one after the other every Saturday. The first is a raffle draw will result in seven participants winning a guaranteed amount of Dhs77,777 each. In addition, all participants are entered into the second draw with six prize categories that include a Grand Prize of Dhs100m when all seven numbers are matched.
