Consumers across the GCC increasingly turn to clean and sustainable beauty products

UAE-based online beauty retailer Powder.ae is launching its online shopping platform in Saudi Arabia on September 23, coinciding with Saudi National Day.

Powder launched in the UAE in 2018 to offer customers access to a wide range of clean products in skincare, haircare, and wellness, as well as cosmetics. Clean beauty products are made without ingredients shown or suspected to harm human health.

Beauty shoppers in Saudi Arabia will be able to get their hands on several clean brands recently launched on Powder. These include collagen-infused natural self-care treats formulated with moisturising natural oils from KNC Beauty and sheet masks from ISNTREE, Korea’s go-to skincare brand for natural ingredients, sourced ethically and bottled in recyclable packaging. Powder also recently debuted EVY Sunscreen Mousses which feature “a protective barrier that enhances the skin’s natural defences and offers long-lasting UVA and UVB protection.”

With over 25 global niche and luxury boutique brands to choose from, Saudi shoppers will now be able to discover and shop Powder’s latest launches from the comfort of their home.

To celebrate the launch, customers in the Kingdom will enjoy free shipping until the end of October. Customers who register on the website will also receive a 10 per cent discount on their first order.

“Through education, on the ‘The Edit’, and transparency in ingredients, we offer our customers unbiased advice to empower them to make choices that are right for them,” said Ayat Toufeeq, co-founder of Powder.

“The last few months have demonstrated that wellness and self-care are top-of-mind for our consumers and we are seeing a rise of conscious beauty consumers in the region. Customers have a great appreciation for clean beauty and cosmetics and we believe that now is the perfect time to enter the Saudi Arabian market, “she added.
