Over the last five years, Dubai has been expanding its exciting opportunities and the following have been deemed the best in the city.
1. Experience the world’s longest urban zip line at Xline
XLine Dubai is the world’s longest urban zip line, spanning 1km over the Dubai Marina with the ability to reach speeds up to 80kph. If riding it by yourself is too daunting, try riding it with a friend for Dhs1200 as long as you are 12 to 65 years old.
2. Take a snowy break from shopping
If you find yourself at Mall of the Emirates, why not take a break from shopping and enjoy a couple hours of snow fun? Ski Dubai offers skiing, snowboarding, and use of a snow park. The 400m-high slope will provide you with an exhilarating thrill.

3. Attempt indoor skydiving with iFLY
iFly is the UAE’s first indoor skydiving experience and the closest thing you’re going to get to skydiving without actually jumping out of a plane. The experience allows you to feel all the same sensations but from the safety of indoors. It is located in Mirdif City Centre, where you can treat yourself to a meal afterwards from one of the many restaurants situated in the mall.
4. Jump from 50m in the air with Gravity Zone
Gravity Zone is an adrenaline filled bungee jump experience where you plummet towards Dubai from 50m up. If you are searching for a thrilling experience that will make your hair stick on end, this is the one for you.
5. Race along the Arabian dunes
This dune buggy experience gives you the chance to ride 840cc to 2,000cc buggies over the Dubai dunes for three hours. The sensation is very similar to quad biking, however you go faster and have the added safety of a roll cage. The fare includes all transport and the suited training.
6. Take the family to experience a theme park
Dubai has a large variety of theme parks to offer, with three separate attractions at Dubai Parks and Resorts alone. Elsewhere, Dubai’s largest indoor theme park, IMG World of Adventure, has the fearsome Velociraptor ride, which is sure to get your heart racing. Within the Dubai Parks complex you can experience the various kingdoms at Legoland Dubai, ride the Capitol Bullet train at Motiongate Dubai, experience the Thrill of Victory at Bollywood Parks and many other rides and attractions.

7. Swoop towards the Palm with Skydive Dubai
If Indoor skydiving isn’t enough for you, then why not try a real tandem skydive, 13,000 feet above the Palm? Not only will you float down towards the elegant Palm Jumeirah but you will also get a 360-degree view of the city.

8. Go sandboarding in the dunes
Sand Ski Dubai offers a sandboarding experience that is essentially three-hours of snowboarding but in the dunes. If you think you’re good at snowboarding, then this could be the perfect thrill.
9. Try flyboarding with Searide Dubai
Searide Dubai describe this activity as “an extreme sport between sky and sea”. Flyboarding, if you don’t know, is essentially a hover board which is propelled upwards by water. The water speeds are up to 40kph and project you up to 5m in the air.
10. Spend the day at a waterpark
As well as a wider variety of theme parks, Dubai also has many exciting waterpark experiences to offer. The Atlantis Waterpark has ‘The Leap of Faith’; a nine-storey mega slide allowing you to reach high speeds before sliding through a shark infested tank. Another popular park is Wild Wadi where you can ride the ‘Jumeirah Sceriah’, a 32m-high tower with two slides, giving you the chance to race a friend. If these aren’t enough, why not try Dubai’s Parks and Resorts’ Legoland waterpark where you can race your friends and family on the Lego Slide Racers or the Laguna Waterpark at La Mer.
