A new in-store go-karting facility has been launched in Ras Al Khaimah, within the Lulu group operated RAK Mall, it was announced on Thursday.

Dubbed the Middle East’s first-ever in-mall go-karting facility, Go-K will be operated by Augusta Re Consulting, an Italian engineering company.

The 10,000 sq ft attraction is expected to draw additional visitors from across the country to RAK Mall, according to Line Investments & Property – a division of Lulu Group International – which operates the mall.

Raja Abdul Khader, director of Line Investments & Property said: “RAK Mall features the 100th Lulu Hypermarket and as it enters its third year, it has evolved as the favorite leisure, shopping and entertainment destination for residents of Ras Al Khaimah.

“By adding innovative rides such as Go-K, we are enriching the customer’s visit.”

Height requirement to ride the go-karts is 1.25 metres and above. The circuit will also be constantly monitored by professional go-karting experts to ensure safety, the company said.

Along with the circuit, the facility will also feature the Go-K Café, which features Italian coffees, cakes, snacks and savouries.

Malls across the UAE have been boosting their offerings as visitor numbers grow. Experts say rising retail demand is supported by strong economic growth and an influx of tourists and expatriates into the country.
