The ‘A’l Bahar’ project will serve as a dedicated fitness and leisure space

Yas Island developer Miral has announced its appointment to develop a beachfront community on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche for Abu Dhabi Municipality.

The ‘A’l Bahar’ project will span 80,000 square metres and serve as a dedicated fitness and leisure space when it opens in the first quarter of next year.

It will include more than 20 food and beverage outlets, retail space, a 0.5km promenade, basketball and beach volleyball courts, football pitches, an outdoor gym, kid’s play area, an inflatable floating structure and a dedicated space for concerts and events.

“This project reflects our continuous efforts to make Abu Dhabi a top tourism and entertainment destination, even beyond Yas Island by expanding our expertise to create a new leisure experience on Abu Dhabi’s highly popular Corniche,” said Miral CEO Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi.

“With its inclusive atmosphere and authentic experiences, we’re excited and confident that the beachfront project will make a valuable contribution to the capital’s family appeal as from a wellness and entertainment stand point.”

Miral said leasing was still open for the food and beverage and retail components.

The attraction adds to the company’s extensive master pipeline of projects under the Yas Island master plan including a new media zone and arena.
