National Bank of Abu Dhabi announced that it has appointed Claude Henri Chavanon as group chief investment officer (CIO) and head of the Investment Group.

Chavanon has over 15 years of experience in investment management and business development and was serving as the CIO of NBAD Private Bank (Suisse) SA since 2007, NBAD said in a statement.

In his new role, Chavanon will oversee NBAD’s investment strategies and vehicles and direct and manage the delivery of investment products across all NBAD business lines. He will also chair the lender’s Investment Products Committee and Investment Forum Committee.

Chavanon replaces Alan Durrant who left NBAD recently.
