Riyad Bank

Founded in 1957, Riyad Bank is one of the only three 100 per cent Saudi-owned banks in Saudi Arabia.

The bank has over 200 branches and offers commercial banking services as well as financing commercial projects and industrial activities.

Riyad Bank also offers investment services such as asset management, investment funds in addition to brokerage services through its subsidiary company, Riyad Capital.

Supported by the improved deposit mix, by its sound capital profile and by robust improvement in operating profitability, the international credit rating agency Capital Intelligence affirmed the Bank’s Financial Strength Rating at AA- in May 2013.

The rating is constrained by the large increase in non-performing loans (NPLs) and the rise in the NPL ratio, the ratings agency said.
